Human Rights Watch applauds Belgian court's ruling against Sharon

Human Rights Watch applauds Belgian court's ruling against Sharon "This decision is a huge victory not only for the victims of the Sabra and Shatilla massacres but for all atrocity victims who have put their hopes in the Belgian justice system," said Hanny Megally, executive director of the Middle East and North Africa division of Human Rights Watch. "There is abundant evidence that war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed in the Sabra and Shatilla massacre, but not a single individual has been brought to justice." B'nai B'rith International sent a letter to Human Rights Watch executive director Kenneth Roth, calling his organization's position "counterproductive and fundamentally immoral.", "this decision is a huge victory not only for the victims of the Sabra and Shatilla massacres but for all atrocity victims who have put their hopes in the Belgian justice system," said Hanny Megally, executive director of the Middle East and North Africa division of Human Rights Watch.
